TSA (Time Speed Acceleration: Touchscreen) with Plug Top Power Supply
TSA (Time Speed Acceleration: Touchscreen) with Plug Top Power Supply
Product code: GP00052549
Product Description
TSA - Time, Speed, Acceleration
TSA is much, much more than just another Timer. TSA is a microprocessor based, stand alone unit. It is a very versatile instrument having the following modes of operation.
- Time Interval (4)
- Event times (8)
- Speed (4)
- Acceleration Data
- Accelerations (2)
- A fast timer (8) - for times <10,000us the resolution is 1us
- A Gap Timer (1)
The TSA embraces touch screen technology making it faster and easier to operate. It has been redesigned to give it a smart look and it retains all the features which make it the ideal tool for lab measurements in kinematics.
The Acceleration Data mode displays two velocities and the time interval been the velocities. Students can use this information to calculate the acceleration. Once the concept has been developed students can then switch to using the Acceleration mode to explore and investigate their world without having to do the calculation every time.
The TSA is compatible with Unilab Light Gates, as well as a range of accessories that are available separately which include:
- TSA Light Gates
- TSA Light Bridge
- TSA Reaction Timer Switches
- TSA Sound Switches
- A very easy to use device with many applications and external peripherals to extend the capabilities of the TSA.
- Key Stage 3 - 4 Physics - Speed of Sound: Estimate the speeds encountered in everyday experience, both for natural phenomena (wind, sound, light) and transportation systems; and the magnitudes of everyday accelerations, including the acceleration in free fall.
- Key Stage 3 - 4 Biology - Reaction Times: Explain the implications of human reaction times in relation to safety in transport
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Forces and Motion, Acceleration, Speed: Make and interpret measurements of distances, times, speeds and accelerations, and represent these in graphical form. Explain the vector-scalar distinction as it applies to displacement, velocity and speed. Explain that motion in a circle involves constant speed but changing velocity (qualitative only).
- Purchase the TSA as a bundle with all accessories, or build up your collection as your budget allows.
